About TAHDa

TAHDa stands for Technical Art History Database.

TAHDa is an independent non-for-profit entity introduced at the AiA 2018 Congress.

TAHDa offers a platform that enables easy accessible, retrievable and centralized information management for its members to integrate scattered information. TAHDa provides experts, researchers and laymen alike the opportunity to access and combine digitalized information. Information from databases and archives in a context-framed manner and links multi-disciplinary aspects of art objects, like historic documentation, opinions, images, or compositional analysis, to (re)search questions.

Furthermore TAHDa rewards experts for submitting their contributions to TAHDa by compensation for each time their publication is read. In short: TAHDa seeks to improve the art world and will benefit those who make the improvement possible.

The concept of TAHDa will be introduced to the field. It is our wish that the AiA 2018 attendees coming from different fields in the art world will be present to provide feedback, critiques and ideas for the improvement of TAHDa. To ensure the success of TAHDa their input will be highly appreciated and valuable for the future of the art field in general and specifically for their own work.
